Musicians Friend carries them, the prices range from $749.99 - $2699.99. I personally like them better than PRS but that is opinion.

Gee Wil, you can search on this board?!?!?!?!
Actually, I did look at some of the older ones, but what about all the newbies (like me) who have only been here a few months???
Heres a list:
Audio Technica AT3035
Oktava MK-19
RODE NT-1
Behringer B2
AKG C2000B
CAD M177
I am not telling you to buy one or the other, this is just a list of some of the more popular mics for $200. Check them out on your own and make a decision...
I just looked at the guitar and bass board and looked at all the fantastic guitars owned by you prople, and wondered what mics you had out there?
(this is a great time to show off gear)
So get showin'... oh and add any mic pre's to the list...
Thank you for all of the ideas, now I just have to find all of these mics, and test them out (ha)...
It seems that a lot of you said that a ribbon mic would be a good choice so I will grab a couple of them take my sm58 and borrow a couple of condensors from friends and test them together...
I am looking to spend around $600...
I need a mic that will take the brightness out of my voice, I am a clasically trained singer, now a songwriter and my voice just doesn't work too well with an acoustic, I am recording demos to shop around for other people to record, any suggestions?
Thank...
Sorry bout that...
I was wrong about the cables, I just hadn't turned up the monitors enough to hear the pops when I listened to CDs, the cables were old and had been used for a couple of years, and just needed to be replaced - 30 bucks, and it sounds good as new (which makes sense, I got the...
I figured it all out now (thanks for the advice)...
Now if I could only fix my fader-happy drummer, do they make shots for them or do you just have to kick em' a couple times.
If you want to sound like the Deftones or Tool (I will disregard the Korn comment next to those bands) buy a Line 6 Spider 2x12, this is exactly what Stephen (Deftones) has been using for 2 years live, and he plays them through (gasp) Marshal cabs...
(Oh and Adam Jones of Tool uses Marshal's...
I am getting all this bad sound out of my monitors...
I have it hooked up just like my 1010 users manual says...
Set up the monitor mix, go out 1/2 to your amp, and then to the monitors...
My right monitor barely makes a sound, and the left one is cracking horribly?????
Damn, Damn, Damn...
About three years ago when I went into my first studio to record an EP with one of my many "We're gonna be rock stars" bands, I though that looks so easy, and I just paid him $70 an hour to record a 4 song CD. (ha ha ha)
I went to Borders the next day and bought 1 of each of these magazines-...
Recording frettless bass, anything I should know...
The bassist has a Carvin 6-string and a Carvin Red Eye amp (I think), I was told it had 2 10s...
Do these amps have pre outs, should I mic it, what kind of mic...
I really have no clue...
I use a VOX, but I don't use a wah too much anymore...
My brother used to use the VOX Vinyl case for a stick bag for his drums... nothing like more than one use...
I almost bought a used pair of Earthworks from a guy that was selling his studio about a year ago, but I used them on a violin and it sounded too raw (more like a fiddle) this is the only reason I'm not buying them because I think they sound great...
Thank you for the input, all of you...
