    Just an update...

War and impending doom good for song interest... ...or so it seems... When I originally put my tune "I Saw a Tear - In Lady Liberty's Eye Today" out of the net (following 9/11), there was some interest in it, and was having a little luck trying to shop it out (nothing happened with it, but...

Entire songs vs Partial songs when shopping for gigs???

When putting together a demo package for the sole purpose of persuing gigs, do you: 1) make a tape/CD with entire songs or 2) make a tape/CD consisting of partial tunes (fade in/out) I've done both, but I also know that most bar owners are typically "very busy people"... ...do "they" have...

    Vocal Booth

..following the progress here... Just a thought for hanging the blankets.. ..Any thoughts on using curtain hangers (like shower curtain type, but they have to be pretty beefy to hold the weight of packing blankets)? You'ld probably still have to put those metal eyelets onto the blankets (you...

    don't laugh

Yo Dan... That white bass I had at the JamFest (the one everyone ended up playing cause Q was too lazy <or messed up> to change the string he popped) is a Peavey Fury. Got it at a local store for ~$175.00 on the way to a gig that I was supposed to play bass at (hence, I needed a bass:p )...

Best time of day to record vocals

lol... actually, I'd probably go with the afternoon (fuck the delight / starland shit, though:p ) as far as vocals go. That usually gives my lungs a chance to clear out from the Cigs and what-have-you from the night before. I couple of shots of pepermint schnapps hits the spot as well...

Humidity, or no humidity, that is the question...

OK.. next question... ..lessee if I can get a synapse to fire here... Is there a "point of no return" for giving a guitar "humidity treatment"? I have a couple of acoustics (nothing big, just simple 'ole guitars). The faces have pulled a little at the bridge, thus messing up the action a...

Humidity, or no humidity, that is the question...

OK guys... what's the deal. I get mixed signals when it comes to humidity and the acoustic guitar. "They" sell things to stick in your case to protect acoustic guitars from humidity... ..."They" warn of the damage that humidity can inflict on acoustic guitars... ...then dimb ass "Me"...
