    Martin 000M or 000X1

If the X series is still a laminated top series, I would prolly go for the M. I havent played one, but my assumption would be that the darker sounding mahogany would compliment the smaller body size nicely. Use the search function, as I recall someone picking one of those up in the past few...

    Telecaster Appreciation Thread

Especially when youre freezing balls in the UK!!!! I will think kindly of you while Im sweating on my walk to the beach in the AM! As for that Tele....... I used to have a MIJ reissue like that, the rosewood was so worn down in 1st position that I ended up unloading it. Even though it had...

    Telecaster Appreciation Thread

Team Tele................ FUK YEAH!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously though, I fall in and out of love/like with Les Pauls and Strats, but all of the Teles I have had have been totally stable, comfy necked tone monsters. For some reason, I dont feel like im gonna break the thing when I really want to...

    john frusciante- ridiculous

WOW! I know a lot of people who think they collectively bring on the suck, but Flea at leasts gets a nod. BTW Flea is a Trumpet player who ended up on bass, not a guitar player. As for JF not ripping off/homaging Hendrix's tone and phrasing.......... check out this clip at 3:45...

    john frusciante- ridiculous

Even if ya dont like the RHCP, and if you are a guitarist and a fan of general sonic weirdness and beauty, you owe it to yourself to chk out his solo stuff. On a personal level, he seems like a really cool dude. Went to a dark place and came back with something to say!

    pedal steel construction

Amen Bruthuh!!!!!! Look for an older midline to pro model. I am a big fan of Dekley, they are rock solid with stable mechanics and tuning. Their starter model is even high quality. If ya see one on ebay or the steel forum definitely consider it. And BTW, if you have pigeonholed the...

    pedal steel construction

Yup, its called a B-Bender...... I have one on a Les Paul Studio. IMHO installing a B Bender or palm bar on a six string is a great way to wet yr feet if youre thinking about taking the PSG plunge. BTW, learning steel isnt that difficult, but mastering it is. There are tons of great licks...

Yup, you can set up must pro models to do pretty much anything, but be warned, the mavericks and carter starters will NOT! Check out the steel guitar forum!

    New Guitar - Martin 000-15

VERY NICE!!! OOO's are my fave body size. I have a couple of Jumbos that I cant even stand to play anymore. As for the mahogany Martins... when the first came out, I played about 10 of the D sized ones, and they were all too dark sounding for my taste, just wondering if the smaller body size...

    String Bends on Acoustics

I think this is probably the most valid point beyond string guage. Thanks Muttley

    String Bends on Acoustics

Beyond heavier string guage, can anyone explain why it seems like you have to bend further and harder on an acoustic compaired to an electric? Maybe Mutley or someone with a deeper understanding of acoustics and physics can explain this?
