Here's a song i just recently finished using all the help up above (sorry i didn't try it on "lost" yet, but this song needed to be finished) The drums were still on 2 tracks instead of 4, but i did my best. http://www.rheniummusic.com/innerpeace.html

This is my first attempt mixing drums by recording on 4 tracks instead of 2... So now i can record the kick/snare and overheads seperatly... Please give some opinions on the mixing/quality (not the actual playing, heh) http://www.rheniummusic.com/tracks.mp3

One quick note, that song that i just posted doesn't have any of the eq things on it yet. Its just for the people that wanted to hear more of my stuff...

Thanks for all the replies... I've started to eq a lot of the low end stuff out, and also lower a lot of the volumes to not clip the shit out of the recordings... And yes I have plenty of other songs. I'll show this one right now, but the rest I won't post until my copyright thing-a-majig...

Hey i need to get 8 songs or so mixed good enough to be able to hear it the same way on basically any stereo... Right now this song sounds fine on my computer (i don't have any studio monitors). However i notice that my car has way to much bass and lower vocal levels... And other stereos are...

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get that sound that stone sour got in "Get Inside" (if you've heard the song that is) I think that style of mixing the vocals would fit one of my songs perfectly.

Cool Thanks.... I just recorded the guitar tracks and bass tracks... And with it all blended together things start to get a little muddy in areas, so all these tips you guys posted will definetly come in handy in the next day or so of mixing :) Thanks!

Well yeah i turned it up... But i didn't post the new file yet... Also there is no bass track in that file you heard... I'll post a new file for with my progress soon.

Yeah effecting the whole track cause i don't have 4-6 in's.. I only have 2 in's... I went ahead and re-recorded every track again with the kick up a little and the snare down a little and i think it all sounds good now. However thanks for all the advice, i'll still be using some of the eq advice :)

Hey, I started recording my bands demo, and we recorded all the drums. Now with out re-recording the drums again, are there any frequencies i can mess with to get the kick to stand out more, but leave everything else alone? Well maybe possibly doing something with the snare cause it stands out...
