Here is my mix. First time I am trying on someone else song and I am probably the least experienced here. So wait for others to post. I though the vocals were good, but hard for a male to match the female high pitch voice you know.
Let me what you think.
I see. Thank you!
I would like to see if you can take out the aurolex pads and how it sounds, I put Auroloex pads and it took out some of the mid and high end. i don't know why people recommend these, especially in home studio where it was always too much low end.
Where did you get those vocal panels from? And you don't have any ceiling cloud? Your ceiling height is same as mine.
All the previous places I lived i had much less of a problem with base, but they all had higher ceiling. So wondering if i should invest in clouds.
To be honest, voice depends a lot on the room acoustics and microphone, mic placement and such. so hard to comment just your voice quality. people thought my singing was ok. Then now people think my singing has improved 10X. I only improved my recording and room acoustics or maybe had the right...
Just a small suggestion. Don't come to a forum and talk about sharing in your first post with an exclamation markl It comes across a bit rude.
k.
You would get better responses if you tell us a bit about yourself, your goals, and if people could check your songs and 'make some honest feedback...
where do you think you need to improve or work on?
I don't know if the song demanded it. It sounds like you are trying to mimick someone else voice.
I think it is probably because you are trying to sing with the singer. When you try to follow someone else vocal, you sound like you are...
24*48. 4 in thick. i have them on the corners standing on stand. So it is kind of the middle of the junction of two walls. So not really on the 2 ceiling-floor corners of the wall.
Length:20 feet, Width: 10 Feet. Height: 8 Feet. My speakers are on the shorter side of the rectangle.

Does low ceiling has a big impact on low frequencies? Or how does it effect room acoustics?
My ceiling is like 8 feet. i have 6 bass traps. but nothing on the ceiling. Main problem is vocal tracking. it just sounds too bassy. I put some acoustic foam panels and I think it made it worse. it was...
His main genre is qawali, (devotional music). But he then started singing bollywood songs. That song is qawalli mixed with some western instruments since it was for the Nobel Prize. He does a lot of live shows in US. Never got chance to attend.
You might like this one (mix of east & west)...
have you tried using a compressor in the master track to glue the vocals and instruments together? If not, might help the vocals to sit better
used a desser? i am guessing not.
Awesome articles! The last link is not working.
Had a question: I have seen a lot of people having regular acoustic foams. Do you think regular acoustic foam usually dull/more basy the sound since they only absorb the mid and high end and not much of the low end. I had some on my ceiling right...
Just a few suggestions that 'may' work:
1. Use multiple speakers to check the mix. Try it int car , headphone, mono and such. If they sound good in all, it will sound great.
2. Try a dynamic microphone like SM 58 or 57. Usually has more low end than condenser ones. Also the mic position affects...
