As I am in the market for a economically friendly mixer as well, I figured Id just post here.. How does the Yamaha stand up against a small Mackie mixer for the ideal recording situation?

It seems like your missing a bone in your "knee connected to the hip" signal chain.. With the new card, I think your gonna have to export your Reason stuff (instrumentals) into a Cool Edit track before you can record with them palying in your cans. Try that...

actually... (judging by your post amount) Go to Windows Recording Mixer.. either directly From CoolEdit's "Settings" Tab in Multi track, or from Control Panel, where its listed as "Sound" or something... even on the bottom right toolbar, there may be a spearker icon.. well..once in that...
