I know alot of people talk shit about them but Syn is absofuckinglutely amazing.
I've learned pretty much every A7x song there is minus a few solos/sweeping parts.
another thing you could try doing is getting a better amp. i find that halfstacks always sound better....i usualy stick 2 mics in fron of the cabinet: one per speaker.
also try messing around with the settings on your amp, pedal and guitar.

plus most of them come standard with seymours.
