    Sorry, I should have said I'm on Windows Vista Home Premium. I tried Sound Recorder, my webcam was much better on noise. I've got Audacity beta now. So, what mic should I buy (under £100), and how do I soundproof against traffic noise? (I don't mind recording at 3am). Thanks for your help.
