    Learning Guitar

Well, I've been lucky to enough to be given an old, crappy electric guitar for free. It's a little rusty, needed new strings, but I think it's okay for me to learn on. As you can see, I'm a drummer, so I know nothing about this stuff! I have a bass guitar and I've been playing it for a couple of...

    Best drum sound you got?

I added no effects whatsoever. Maybe a little compression on bass drum mic, but that's it. I recorded all tracks into my Yamaha MG12/4 Mixer -> Delta 44 -> Adobe Audition.

URGENT. Purchasing drum OHs within the next week or so.

Another vote for the Oktava MK-012's. They sound so good in my room, I don't even need to put a mic on the snare. Drop me a PM and I'll send you a clip of me playing with just the 2 MK-012's and a CAD bass drum mic. The snare sounds so sweet! Anyways, I say Go for the Oktavas! (if you can find...

    Dual-Monitor Card

Thanks a lot guys. I have never heard a negative about the Matrox cards either, so that threw me off. Thanks again for the comments. Looks like I'll be going with the G450 16 Meg!

    Dual-Monitor Card

Thanks xstatic, I will look into that. Has anyone here had problems with that card as xstatic mentioned? I know they have been reccomended extensivley here, which is why I leaned towards them in the first place.

    Dual-Monitor Card

Come on, seriously, with the exception of Pentium, how many of you actually read my first post? No, I'm not buying that Radoen 9800 hulla-baloo. I don't have that kind of money. I'll say it again, this time in english: I have made up my mind. I will be buying a Matroc G450 off eBay. I see two...

    Dual-Monitor Card

I've zero-ed in on the Matrox G450 Dual-Monitor card. Now, they come in 16MB and 32MB versions. Which would be the better choice? Obviously, one would think "the more the better!" True, but I'd like to save the money and get the 16MB, but only if it will be sufficient. This will only be for my...

Um...buy a new cymbal. That cymbal is supposed to sound like that. If you want a different sound, sell it and buy a new one. Cymbals were not meant to be taped!

    WTB: Equipment Rack

Thanks Strave, but I need something bigger than 8 spaces. I just bought this one off eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=3755276773&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT

    WTB: Equipment Rack

I'm looking for a rack to house my Yamaha MG12/4 mixer and Hafler TA1600 Amp. Any idea how many spaces the mixer is? It appears to be about 8, and the amp is 2, and I'd like a couple between them, so at least a 12-space would be good. I'm looking to spend around $100. Thanks, Justin
