Well I have a question (noob) Should i leave the master bus alone with no plug-in and lower the fader to prevent clipping during mixing, or a good plug-in such as compression or limiter will do better?
Whats the best thing to do so my mix down will be ready for mastering process?

I heard it sounds much better than using the cabinets from the program so my question is what are some modeled cabinet impulse plug ins??? I heard about voxengo...
agree i tried those amp simulation programs such as amplitube and guitar rig... but it wont give u that "heavy realistic" tone... but what I would Recommend is an SM-57.
An sm-57 + A good Amp( tube) then you can maybe achieve that sound your looking for with mic placements and different amp...
Well I have a Firepod.. and i seen some people use mixers with their Firepods is that a good idea?? or the Pres from the Firepod Better off?
Is there mixers out there that can work good along side a firepod to get that "analog" feeling?? Like to use the Faders and eqs? Or maybe can one used...
dude i understand ur pain (college life) not easy to come up with big amounts of cash, but what I did to get a good pair of OH mics i Craiglist some Oktavas and luckily after like 1 week i found them.... I bought a pair for 130$$$:p

Well i got my hands on this plug in and wow. Love it really makes a difference when your mastering songs. Im no pro im just a beginner so im just getting some tips for mastering but this plug really gives some "balls" to the overall mix... anyone agree?

I need a snare/cab mic is this mic useful or is it totally a shitful duplicate of the sm57.

Well i just bought some okatavas mics as my first pair of condenser mics but i dont have enough money to buy mic stands... anybody know any remedies to make some homemade mic stands??
