The 2488 definitely seems to be beyond my budget. The AW16G probably is, too, unless I get very lucky. It does look pretty sweet, too, since it'd be fairly easy to export the tracks to CD, then edit them on the computer, if I wanted. Thanks again, Blair

How many simultaneous tracks can be recorded with the VF80?

I've got an FD-8 and I saw an FD-4 listed for about $65 in good working order. (I don't know any other specs yet.) I assume these can be linked together. 1) How? 2) Will this allow me to record 4 simultaneous tracks?

Depends on what kind of bass sound you're looking for, I guess. I'm perfectly happy with the one I get from my Hohner Key Bass 3.

Still Skipping Well... I reformatted and... Still skipping. I guess I could also try recording to the external ZIP drive I got with it, but I'm not sure that'll provide enough recording time. There's also the possibility of the Castlewood ORB, I guess, but I should probably try the ZIP first...
