As far as the room, the speakers have an open room behind them. The back of my editing chair is up against a wall, so that the speakers are about 5' away from the wall, facing toward the wall. Do I normally want the wall behind me to be refelective or absorbtive?

Would that be 5 feet off the floor or 5 feet higher than the strings?

What is supposed to be the big advantage of LDCs over SDCs for vocals? This I don't get.

I'm wondering what will be the difference between these and the Oktava's the other place sells.

Haven't used them but the couple user reports I've seen have been positive, and this includes for the included pencil mic. I had looked at one point to see if the pencil is sold separately but I don't thik it is.

I'm not positive but I think the Euro 3/8" might be different from the regular (?American) 3/8", because I have seen these adapters listed as "for Euro 3/8".

Would be very interested to hear your set up for that and how they worked out.
