Rode has new omni capsule out for NT5

yeah, i was kind of psyched about that (saw noise about it on gs) as i just got a minty used nt4 on sunday, but then i saw another poster over there point out that "Two omni caps for the NT4 will not be useful at all. Coincident omnis equals one big mono mic."
bummer :(
ah well, more $ for other gear :)
 
yes...two coincident omnis is useless. beyond useless.

unless you like having a big mono signal!
