If an older 16-bit ADAT deck is used in any part of the chain (let's say you have 7 of these newer 20-bit ADATs and this one older 16-bit ADAT optically linked together for 64 tracks total) does the *whole* chain drop down to the "legacy" recording mode as the one 16-bit ADAT in the chain...
What are the *MAJOR* differences between the LX-20, XT-20, and M-20? I noticed that one of these decks doesn't have the ELCO connector on the backside, so I guess it's a bit less expensive. But, I'm sure there's got to be a lot more to this story that just a connector!
