hey guys, A trusted friend asked me to sell off some of his studio gear as he's losing his lease and has decided to go with a mobile location approach to his buisness. he's clearing out all his studio gear. it has some rack rash but mainly from moving around the studio. (it never left his...
I installed Sonar 2.2 on my "C" system drive, and I want to set up all the sessions (songs) on my "D" (audio only) drive?
I've always used pro tools le where the entire PT's program is installed on the C system Drive, while all the audio/templates/song info is recorded on the dedicated audio...
Marshall doesnt make small, low watt, tube combo amps (ala fenders 15 watt Blues and Pro Jr.)
What amp company has basically copied the Marshall sound, yet offers a small tube combo low watt amp? at a small price?
for recording only, no gigs!
thanks
Fender Blues jr: For recording. I know it gets that fenderish clean sound, but with some pedals (Which ones?) can I get it dirty?
Silver Face Champ (70's): same as above
looking for that clean, semi dirty clean, and dirty tone! can these amps achieve that?..which is more versitile?
thanks again
hey fellas. thanks. here's a quick summery:
I'm not a guitar player. I'm a singer/songwriter/pianist/drummer, I write and record my own music at my home studio (drums as well). all I really need is my co-workers (I'm in corporate entertainment/top 40) to come over and lay guitar tracks for me...
...To position your mic inside your kick?
I've noticed that "for the most part" it seems wherever you position it it basically sounds the same. certainly an advantage for a quick set-up, but I do find it a bit of a bummer when trying capture a different sound...I've been using a speaker mic on...

Looking to bring all my rear mic pre inputs to the front, as I'm tired of all those 3 foot cables tied to the front of my rack.

I need to convert a SPDIF connector to an ADAT/Optical connection t. whats a good inexpensive box?
I need to leave my digi001 via SPDIF out and convert the link to ADAT/Optical into my RME ADI-8 Pro's D/A section, which is adat/optical in only (no spdif in on the RME)
thanks
Chess,
you made mention of 3 Texas instruments chips in a previous thread. I'm a bit unclear about a few things. do the following pre's contain the Burr Brown chip or the Texas Instruments or both?..do you know what each of these use? I remember reading that they all contain something similar...
looks like SP has its new 8 channel Pre. hopefully we can get some reviews here... New Burr-brown chip, so it must be very clean?

I'm already looking at a few of these mainly for drums:

just click on "details"...Uh! for the details if the detail page doesnt come up.
I know the DMP-3 was popular, but how does M-Audio rank in their converter quality?....I know it needs to be heard, but...
My B-1 is trippen right now! first i will say I've always defended this little gem, treated it with kid gloves (as I do my MC012's), and never dropped it or had any accidents with it.
I ruled out the mic, pre's, the cables, and my other mics. it's definetly the B-1 (I just orderd 2 more last...
well this looks pretty interesting!

I havent been around long enough to know if this has been hotly debated? however, since it has the words Behringer and Studio projects I imagine it has!....
if this was a previous war then I apologize for re-hashing it. I understand behringers practices of out right copying but, have these two...
