First, I'll let you know that I'm a total analog noob. Now that that is out of the way...
So my dad gave me his old Akai X-1810d. He told me that it keeps blowing fuses. I've looked for some schematics online, but I haven't been able to find any...at least not for under $20. I was wondering...
I'm considering trading my Fender Strat MIM for a Les Paul knockoff or hollow/semi hollow body guitar.
The Strat's in good shape and plays well. I just want to try something different.

These two are in perfect condition and work flawlessly. They look brand new and have very few hours of operation. They have been in a rack from the time they cam out of the box. I bought both units brand new.

OK. So I'm going to buy a laptop for recording. I use Presonus firewire interfaces.
I know that if I was to buy a laptop with onboard firewire, I would want one with a TI chipset. But, what if I'm going to be using my firewire express card in the laptop? The card is a SIIG with a TI...
It's got 8 on the back and 1 on the front. Three of them on the back are spaced far enough apart and of course the one on the front you wouldn't have any trouble with. Here's a pic and a link.

Ok. Thanks for the responses.
It looks like if I split it up I've got the Digimax, Furman, & Behringer spoken for. Did any of you want the rack case? It is an SKB. I couldn't find a model #.
Before I split it up to sell I'm going to give it just a couple of more days. But I'll definitely...

Or maybe there's a plug-in (free) that someone knows about.
Thanks,

I have two of these for sale if anyone is interested. We are using them in our church's PA & monitor feeds. One of them works perfectly and the other quit working a few weeks ago so I just bypassed it. It seems to me like it's a power supply issue, but I'm not sure.
The DSP is controlled...

And btw....I predict in the future that this guy will be president and whatever he is on will be legal.
So I was at this gig tonight and casually mentioned (or maybe a shameless attempt to drum up some business) to the bass player that I did live recording. The first question out of his mouth was..........................
"Are you Mac or PC?"
