Ok I know this is stupid but still.... When I'm recording, on Acid, I like recording with the levels as high as possible without clipping. I run all my sources through a mixer then into the computer. Should I continue to get the signal as loud as possible or let the level stay in the high green?

What does Dither mean?

I've been recording my vocals and doubling them but I don't like how the almost same signals sound together. I suppose I could just add reverb to one or something but I was wondering what people do to get the backgroud vocal to sound more like a background harmony instead of an exact duplicate.
