Thanks for the feedback. We did a lot of editing on the drums, but yeah we missed a few hits here and there. We thought it sounded good and wasn't so...sterile.
Thanks again for the feedback.
Hey everyone. I haven't been here in a while but I know y'all like music and you're good critics so I figured I'd see what you thought of the new stuff I just got done producing.

Oh and thanks for listening, it is really...
Thanks a lot for all your help guys, I've listened to that song about 15 times this last weekend, and I can see now that it's 4/4. I still don't know exactly what was throwing me off, but yeah. Anyway, thanks again!
Is it really? I'm not sure what was throwing me off. Like I said I'm new to this whole time signature thing and my counting must've been off. It just seems like there were more than 4 beats per measure.
Anyway, thanks a lot for that! I appreciate the response.
Does anyone know what time signature Take the Money and Run by The Steve Miller Band is in? For some reason I listen to it and I can't figure it out. I've just recently started actually trying to learn about music theory and things like time signatures, and I'm starting to figure that stuff...
Thank you guys for your advice and kind words. These beats are just in their infant stages, so I'll definitely take your advice to heart.
Anyone else got any thoughts?
Thanks again guys, I really appreciate it.
Hey guys (and gals). I haven't been here in a long long while.
I put up a temporary myspace page for a friend to hear some beats because he doesn't have email and wants to hear something from me. I thought I would come here and see what y'all think of them. One beat is basically done, the...
I haven't been on here for a while, but I wanted to jump in on this.
Why don't you just copyright your beat...or beat cd...and then give him clips that are as long as you want. You're protected because your shit's registered with the government. I mean, it's like 35 bucks to copyright...
...a Yamaha O1V digital mixing board? I'm going to be buying a new mixer and I want to get rid of this one (plus I really need some cash right now). It's a great little board and I've used it on a number of projects. Here are some specs.

I have a problem with some drum tracks. We recorded this drummer (we're recording the rest of the band soon) that couldn't play to a click track. We tried and tried but he just ignored the click. Is there something on par with Beat Detective that's fairly cheap so I can get his stuff to line...
I just wanted to know where I could get some decent horn samples. Not necessarily a full brass band thing, but decent trumpet, french horns, trombone, saxamaphone, etc.
If you know of any free ones that would rule, but I'll take recommendations for anything.
Oh, I use Logic with the EXS24...
