If I were to purchase my first harmonica what should I get? Which Key? Natural? Diatonic?

Where might one find Ampex 1/4" reel to reel recording tape for a Fostex 8-track recorder? Another local musician was asking and I'd like to help him out. I found some 4 track on ebay, but no 8.

like CAD or samson....................are they any good at all? How about the PG56 by Shure? A little more money, but is it better or are you paying for the name? Should I hold out for the e604's? I'm kinda in a hurry for some tom mics and short on cash.

the fmaj7 in the key of em? It's followed by a Gmaj7, so I'm assuming it's a secondary dominant that'll resolve to the III. The closest I can come is that it's a substitute for a Dm9 which would be a v/III, but I'm sure I'm a bit out of whack.

I've tried a bunch, some OK, some crap. But there's a LOT more out there and I don't have time to D/L all of them try them all and sort them out. But I'm about to start mixing our newly retracked demo and haven't got @#$% to work with.

Are there any that are worth the effort? I know that nothing can replace a live instructor, but time and money contraints forbid it at this time. I really need to learn my way around this instrument. Although I had an ABSOFREAKINLUTELY FANTABULOUS weekend, I was a bit embarrassed that one year...

Can a banana plug be used in a push terminal?

looking for a used modeler on ebay, it looks like a toss up between the Line 6 POD 2.0 and the Johnson J-Station. One plus for the J-Station is that it can be used with a bass as well while the POD is guitar only. (unless you buy a bass POD)

Boss BD2 or SD1 I have no intention of ever being a shredder, I'll play mostly blues and a little classic rock on a Strat. I don't have easy access to a shop where I can demo them or I would.
