My current kit is the DR-60D Mk2. I run it with two Behringer C-2 condenser mics.
Can anyone help. A recent recording of a program off the radio (recorded as an line signal through inputs 3/4) recorded the music at a decent level but the commentary could hardly be heard. Any ideas?
Go to Fostex International : Recording Equipment, Hi-Fi Equipment, Speaker Components > Support > Multitracker Software and the software 1.21 download is there. Follow the instructions in the .pfd file.
I am running WavManager on Windows 7 64 bit - no problems yet. As the PC can look at the MR8 as an external drive, you should be able to download Wav files OK.
The tons of space? Were they created by "deleting" previous songs?
Have you re-formatted the disk and started from a genuinely empty disk?
I ask this because "deleting" a song does not remove the song from the disk, it only puts a delete flag on the file. The only way to free up disk space is...
The previous four posts refer to this same question. The VF-160 has the same output as the VF-16.
You have a choice:
1) Analogue out and into your PC soundcard.
2)Use the optical output and connect through an optical to USB converter
3)Find a SCSI disk burner to create CDs.

If you had a MR16 it would have been a doddle! MR16 has a USB output.
You do have an Optical Digital Out so if you can find a Adat to USB converter, you can download your song files. The other alternative is to use the Line In on your Sound Card and transfer from the Monitor Out.
