thanks for the breakdown. I've been trying diffrent things for about 6 months, I'll give this a shot, much obliged.

OK so after reading numerous posts about levels and keeping them low during the mix, I turn to the tascam users. Where should I set the mic/guitar input level (US-122) if I have a stack mic'ed and the amp volume at about 1/3. Which input level should I be more concerned with the amp or the mic pre.

I cant get any sound from the line out, just the headphones. I downloaded the newest driver for OSX tiger. Im lost I've been messing with preferances for two days now. In the main system props I have input and output set to the tascam. I've been using this unit on my PC for months with no problems.

Is this a commercial app. Or did someone you know write it. Sounds great where Can I get it? If I export a track from sonar into cool edit when I bring it back into sonar will it match up? You would think they would just build this into cakewalk

Cool ! yeah Ill go to envelopes. Do you know of any way to modify the wave, like if I accidentlly hit a bad note righ before a good one can I remove the bad note without a total audio dropout on that track? Starfox, Great game I agree! :D

Why is it that when I go to mix tracks in console view, if I adjust the slider on a track they just shoot back to the level I recorded that track at? Also Is there some sort of wave editor in sonar where I can cut peaks and so on?

I wrote this awhile ago I think I thought the g5 came with a beefed up sound card. But Im using a tascam us 122 into my laptop pc with sonar right now. I just got my g5 and have not explored garage band yet. I need a good mac recording app before I move everything over. Money is the big issue...

I'm confused can GB2 record 24 bit. Whats Tracktion? And what do you mean run it like its a rental? :)
