    genesis1 effects/preamp

I just look at the V-amp in the MF site, it does seem like a good deal. The J-Station really pissed me off. It broke twice on me. The first time they fixed it with no problems. This time I'm getting the run around. I love the way it sounds, but I must have got a lemon. I have a recording...

    genesis1 effects/preamp

Sorry to get away from your question, but I was wondering what you (or anyone) think of the Genesis 1? My J-Station died, and I was thinking about getting one to replace it. I mean, there both really digitech, right? I don't need tons of effects. Just the basic amp models, if the sounds are...

    Neck adjustments

I have a love hate relationship with locking tremelos, they're a usefull tool, but a pain to work on. I've messed them up too, that's why I like strats and tele's.

    Bass continuity in recording

Possibly the pickup angle could cause this. If one side of the pick up is to high, it could cause the out put of the E to be higher than the rest of the strings. Just a possibility. P

    I need advice

Track Rat, Yeah, I was playing on a friends Roland kit. The cymbals were no where near the real thing. I must admit though that they sound really good on all the recording that he has done. I mean, they do sound a bit artificial, but not bad at all. P

    I need advice

Good day, I am a guitarist, just beginning to enter the world of home recording. I need advice on what type of drums I should get. I'm split between an acoustic kit, and an electric kit. On one hand, I could get a decent acoustic kit at reasonable cost, but I would need to make a drastic...

    good combo amp under $600

My American Deluxe Strat has noisless pups, it is very quiet, and sounds great. As far as the Peavey/Marshall controversey, a Line 6 would probably be better, like a previous poster stated. Neither of those other amps are gonna take you into the rectofied realm. The Line 6 will at least get...

    Neck adjustments

I would love to be able to take it to a good tech, but I'm US military stationed in Germany, and I haven't been able to find anybody that I trust. Anyway, nine more months and I come back to the good old US of A!! Can't wait.

    David Gilmour

DG is definately someone that I never get tired of listening to. I like that he takes such simple theme's, and uses tone and texture to make them sound enormous. BTW Animals is my favorite PF album, although Shine On You Crazy Diamond is my favorite song. P

SBax, you may have nailed it. I am definately going to try this tuning. Thanks. P

    Neck adjustments

I thought I might be able to take off the voulume/tone nobs, and take the pick guard off. It looks like I might be able to reach it like that. P

    Amps

Bang for the buck, get a J-Station $149. It'll take ya from jazz to thrash, and anywhere in between. There are other modelling boxes you might like to try before making a decision though, it's all a matter of taste. P
