maybe try tweaking pickup height.. ... or if you have the pickups with the adjustable pole pieces, you might try lowering them a tad, or maybe rasing them, i dunno :) If the sound still sucks after tweaking them, you can get some nice replacements from Gibson or Seymour Duncan or something..
