Alright what do ns10s sound like?

I don’t think I’m missing the point. Just providing my personal perspective with using them. And they weren’t initially designed to be studio monitors, but affordable bookshelf speakers. After they became popular and were repurposed for studio monitors, then Yamaha started refining them a...

Alright what do ns10s sound like?

I’d say they make it easier to focus on the mids. Anyway I’m out. Do some reading :) Cheers

Alright what do ns10s sound like?

But like any speaker used for mixing, you have to learn them. Get lots of sources you like and listen, and listen, and listen. Re: midrange I’ve seen some tests where the Yamahas were compared with more expensive modern studio monitors. The NS10s did as good and in many cases better than the...

Alright what do ns10s sound like?

Light in the bass as compared to modern monitors. I can’t even compare them to earbuds. Music has changed and is more bass heavy nowadays. Back in the days of vinyl, less bass was desirable. You didn’t want that needle jumping out of the grooves of the record. But the studio always had...

Tell me some bands/artists whose lyrics you really dig

True, but a smart songwriter gets the money. They get to avoid all the pitfalls of being a celebrity and can lead a normal life. Given a choice, I’d much rather be an unknown but rich songwriter than a rich rockstar. How many people in the general public would recognize Dianne Warren on the...

I’m making someone else cook. ;) Local supermarket does fabulous Tri Tip. Outside cooker, they cook stuff 7 days a week! Tri tip, beef and pork ribs, grilled chicken, burgers, dogs. They do it all.

Alright what do ns10s sound like?

I like them. I have a couple of pairs. As others have said they’re light in the bass. Where they shine is in the mids and high mids, where most of the action is. Keep in mind all speakers sound different. IMHO there’s no such thing as a ‘flat response’ speaker. And then there’s the room...

Music I like, what do you like??

Here’s a more well know song. Written by John Prine. Despite being very familiar with it, I’ve never seen this performance before today.

    I've been SKUNKED! Oh No!!!!!!!!

I find it interesting that such a beautiful creature could produce a stench that bad. :)

    I've been SKUNKED! Oh No!!!!!!!!

They can be great pets if you de-sent them. Imagine that. TAE walking down the street with his skunk pack. NO ONE will fuck with you! Scarier than a couple of Pit Bulls.

    String picking robot

Eh, why bother. Soon enough it will be obsolete. Just wait a bit and get that brain chip installed. Get hoked up to the AI, and you can create any elaborate fingerpicking you can dream up. Your composition won’t need to go through an interface and mic placement will be a thing of the past...
