I just picked up a Yamaha m1516 and I am having trouble getting enough signal from the board to my tape deck. The m1516 doesnt have direct outs, so I am trying to record via the inserts, which operate at -6db nominal. I am running out of the interstage of the m1516 using an 8 channel TS snake...

What screw type do I need to install the rack ears onto the 38?? The service manual says "round washer head M4x8" which is not long enough thread wise once the ears are in place. The rack ears are 5mm thick alone. I don't know much about machine screws so any help is much appreciated!

Hey everyone! New to the forum and excited to be here. I recently acquired a Tascam 38 (my first reel to reel) but the left tension roller is badly marred. If anyone has parted one of these machines out and has one for sale, I would like to buy it. Thanks!
