Best tone Strats or Les Pauls (opinions)

Jim-M Your right man, tele's are great! Hard to beat for lead or rythme. Also a good point about Jimmy Page, he did frequent allot of other instruments. I Guess he's just who I think of first, when I think of LP's. I do think strats are allot more versitile though(IMHO). CharlesThomas...

    Good lyrics? Judge me

mutt, It's supposed to be Kaiserslaughtern, but when I typed it, I ran out of space. Either that, or I just plain fudged it. I can't really relate to LL's lyrics, but in a sick way, you can visualize. There was a time, that I was really into thrash/heavy metal, I think they would be...

Best tone Strats or Les Pauls (opinions)

Just an opinionated question. I love Stratocasters, I own an American Deluxe that I play through a Tube screamer into an 4/10 tube amp. I get a super hollow, bell-like tone that reminds me of Hendrix (Watch tower)sound. If I could only play like him, I'd be in business. I still love that...

    Dean Guitars

I recently purchased a Dean Exotica. I love this guitar! I was shopping around, and I tried Takamine, Ovation and a few others. This Is the best acoustic out there for the money. (Pretty bold eh!) I'd still rather have a Guild, or a Gibson, but the Dean plays as nice and sounds as good as...

    for those in Europe

A little background first. I am US military stationed in Germany, so I need to use transformers so that I can plug 110(US) into 220(EU)outlets. My question. Will this disrupt the internal clock inside the recorder. The clock in my puter is all F***** up, because of the wavelenght diff or...

    Good lyrics? Judge me

Liquid Len, I liked your lyrics. Although a little grim, they definately paint a picture in your mind. They are hard core, but the rhyming scheme and sentence sizes sound (I'm serious, and not trying to be a smart ass)like they would work in that cowboy poem style of folk music. You may have...

    New guitar amp suggestions

I have a Peavey Classic 50/410 that backs up a Tube Screamer and a Big Muff. I like the sound more than a lot of the higher-end amps that I've played. This amp can get deafeningly loud. Just a suggestion.

    Ovation Celebrity Acoustic

Vice1- The celebrity is the bottom end of the Ovation food chain. I'm not 100% sure, but I think they might be made in Korea by Applause (Ovations cheaper sister co). A guitar made in Korea is not a problem today, but a few years back, the quality was much lower. If you find out if this...

hummm - if i hear this noise again i will scream

one-I'm no recording expert, but I think you may have found your problem with the lack of "ground" on that mixer. If it's DUAL voltage, you may try getting a power regulator? From an electronics store, and set the mixers power to 220. I believe the transformer 220 to 110, should be three...

    BR-8, yea or nea

Are the amp modelings comparable to lets say the POD? What amp choices do they give you? Also, how does the reverb sound? Thanks

    best distortion pedal?

Remember Less is more. Get a Tube screamer and a respectable tube amp. Back off the distortion and crank up the AMP. With some tweeking, you can get from Page to SRV. If you must use extreme amounts of gain, try the Danelectro Fab Tone. This will give you more gain than you can handle...

    Studio Guitars

I'm a Fender strat fan, but by far, the most versatile guitar in the world is the Tele. If you want to make it even better, throw some Hot Rails in the bridge and it will scream like a stuck pig. Don't be afraid to buy Mexican.(There sound and play great).

    Acoustic buying advice needed

I just bought a DEAN Exotica acoustic/elec. It was under $500, and sounded as good and played better than the Takamine. Seagul are also excellent. You need to play different woods, each has a different tone and volume. Competition is high in this market, so don't worry. You'll be able to...
