I am about to record vocals in the studio, and I was just wondering if there were any tips to help me keep my voice stabalized. I've heard that cold water freezes the vocal chords and that a bit of alcohol opens them. Is this true? anyway, please help.

Unless his songwriting is something really special, I don't need another songwriter. I would just look for a guitarist who could play basic rhythm guitar really well, as well as quick rhythm guitar with tricky fingerwork, preferably who can solo, solidly. An ear for tone is always nice as well.

My advice, as much as I hate relying on scales, would be to get comfortable with the pentatonic scale. I don't believe in learning other's music to pick up licks, so whenever my blues is feeling terrible, I slide up and down the pentatonic scale, all over the neck, and make sure that physically...

Wow CEP is getting great response I see. My problem with CEP is that their is no audio click track, which I need because I don't have MIDI, and I am pretty reliant on the clicktrack.
