    Vocal tips?

I am about to record vocals in the studio, and I was just wondering if there were any tips to help me keep my voice stabalized. I've heard that cold water freezes the vocal chords and that a bit of alcohol opens them. Is this true? anyway, please help.

    Nueno questions

I just got Nuendo, and I have a couple of simple questions that for some reason I can't find in the manual. 1. How do you punch in at the same place without needing to set the left marker over and over again? 2. How do you get a metranome precount before punch-in? I clicked 2 measure...

What Skills Are You Looking For In A Guitarist?

Unless his songwriting is something really special, I don't need another songwriter. I would just look for a guitarist who could play basic rhythm guitar really well, as well as quick rhythm guitar with tricky fingerwork, preferably who can solo, solidly. An ear for tone is always nice as well.

    whos the best

I agree with you on Django, but weren't his two fingers on his picking hand, not fingering?

    dang, that sucks

that's disgusting. I personally hate Gibson (not so much the guitars), and this doesn't make it any better.

I know an excellent musician with great taste in tone that says Roland makes a phenominal modeler. You should look into it.

    the fat white boy blues

My advice, as much as I hate relying on scales, would be to get comfortable with the pentatonic scale. I don't believe in learning other's music to pick up licks, so whenever my blues is feeling terrible, I slide up and down the pentatonic scale, all over the neck, and make sure that physically...

I agree, Barden and Lawrence both make excellent single coils. Lawrences are actually at a great price too.

Which is the more user friendly program?

Wow CEP is getting great response I see. My problem with CEP is that their is no audio click track, which I need because I don't have MIDI, and I am pretty reliant on the clicktrack.

Which is the more user friendly program?

I am not very good with programs, and have trouble picking up special features of different programs. Right now I am deciding between Cool Edit Pro, N-Track Studio, and Cakewalk. Any recommendations or advice? I have a M-Audio Delta 66 (omnistudio), a Mackie 1406 VLZ, and want to record my...

stevie ray vaughn or jimi hendrix

I would say Hendrix because I think he is more creative. -----------SRV is like a pure blues Hendrix on crack, and I am sure that nowadays there are some players that are like SRV on crack as well.

    amp recommendations for home recording

Good rock/blues/clean tone? I'd have to agree with the Cyber Champ. ALso, that Vox modeler has some really nice classic rock tones when you tweak it correctly. You can really never go wrong with a Line 6 Vetta for recording. If you have a lot of money, check out Fuchs amps...
