Ok so i am running pro-tools 8 m-powered on my mac and i have the profire 26/26 hooked up through firewire(obviously). I am recording a drumkit and can get all the signals of the mics into pro-tools and record them no problem but when i plug my headphones into the pro-fire to hear the drums...

I'm interested in this microphone and want to know if anyone owns one and or has used one before. Is it a good investment? I know there's ways to rig up my own and what not but i would like some info on the yamaha version.

I'm looking for a good quality mic's for my overheads and just wondering if anybody has experience with either the Shure KSM44's or 27's.

I'm looking to purchase a M-Åudio Profire 26/26 and i read i can connect it to a powered mixer using the left and right outputs of the mixer. If i do that, does that give me the use of all 14 channels on the mixer including the 8 on the profire or is there more i need to do?

Is there a difference between these 3 versions. What i mean is if i opt to go with M-powered and use an M-audio interface in stead of buying a digirack and using LE. Or is the software the same all around?

Hey guys i plan on buying a digi 003 rack and an M-audio pro fire 26/26 and i just want to know if anyone knows if it's possible to sync the 2 pieces of hardware with ADAT or Firewire so it can give me 16 inputs into pro-tools or is there any other hardware i need?

Ok i'm a newbie so laugh if you'd like but what i'm looking for is actually photos of the back of a digi rack that is connected to a mixer. I don't own a rack yet but i'm just curious as to how it connects up. thanks
