Hardware Question

Hey guys i plan on buying a digi 003 rack and an M-audio pro fire 26/26 and i just want to know if anyone knows if it's possible to sync the 2 pieces of hardware with ADAT or Firewire so it can give me 16 inputs into pro-tools or is there any other hardware i need?
 
If the profire has optical ADAT out, it should work. I do it with a Behringer ADA8000 and they synch up just fine. BTW, that still leaves you 2 more inputs, by S/PDIF, either optical or coaxial, for a total of 18. Woo Hoo!-Richie
 
I run this exact setup. I clock the 003 to the 2626. Works really well.

Plus the 2626 will work as a portable interface for M-Powered ;)

You can also use the 2626 to do D-A conversion at the same time, so that you can fully realise the outputs of the 003 as well.

Thats great cuz i really wanted to purchase this gear. I'm glad i can do that.
