Yamaha Subkick

I'm interested in this microphone and want to know if anyone owns one and or has used one before. Is it a good investment? I know there's ways to rig up my own and what not but i would like some info on the yamaha version.

I never thought that was nessesary...and there are designs online for subkicks that might save you hundreds.

Honestly, i would skp it and just get a decent kick mic. I built one and it sounds great, does the job well but i find myself hardly ever using it anyway.
