I recently sold an MK 488II to a friend and he's having a problem. It seems he can record all the tracks fine, and moniter them fine. But after mixdown something like tracks 1,3 and 6 (or something along those lines) are missing from the stereo master. I remember having a similair problem...

I have just purchased the dbx 386 tube amp and really like the distortion effect when the gain and output are cranked and returned to the board. Is this harmful to the preamp? It's a really nice distortion for vocals.

:D Has anyone heard anything or used the new dbx tube preamp? I think it's called a 386 or 586? They run about $450, got digital i/o and is stereo. I was considering one to warm up my digital recordings just before the mixdown deck.....Any thoughts???
