hey man, where are you from? what hardcore punk bands are you recording live? i'm from atlanta, and i'm in a hardcore band called bukkake boys. its like early 80's hardcore. i'm interested to see what you use to record the live sets, because i have been doing the same thing with mixed results. i have been thinking about buying a matched pair of small diaphragm condensers and using them in the far field to get the most of the sound. then i have two more tracks i can use on my portastudio 246, so i could i guess put some mics on stage to pick up whatever needs extra volume in the far field.
