That sounded like a pretty fun jam. Maybe some intonation problems with vocal and instruments. You did a good job recording everything. How much of that was recorded live, and how much was overdubs?

I kinda like the growls :) The high vocal does sound like canned heat. Just needs a solid rhythm section to go with it. Good so far.

The guitars sound pretty good.... but the drums are not. Vocals are about an octave and a half to low :) Liked the song okay. But really, the drums don't work for high energy rock.

If I was gonna record the whole band live...... on a 16 channel (assuming you can record 8 at once) .... I'd mic the drums in 4 spots, put a 57 in front of each guitar amp, a beta 52 in front of the bass amp, and record the singer direct. (with her standing behind all the noise:)) And if I...

Not a bad sound. In my opinion the drummer is the weak link. Mix wise.... I like to hear the guitars panned more extreme to opposite sides. And I think the vocal needs a touch of reverb to make it sound like it fits in the mix. Also, I'd like to know how you are recording the guitars...

Good mix. I like the verb on the solo guitar, but yet it sits to far back in the mix in my opinion. All the guitars were played nicely. Vocal was good and solid. Real musially sound as well. Lyrically it wasn't my thing.... but that doesn't mean it's not good. You know the drums just...

I just listened to it again. You know... what I would do is this.... I'd pick out about 3 lines during the verse that you could sing harmony with... I mean influential lines. (I think I could tell you which lines need the emphasis) Then on the chorus I'd find a gal that is part soprano and...

I listened to both. Thought the guitar was recorded well. Playing was good at times ...... and not so good at others. But by and large pretty good picking. What I'd do different? When you pick.... make sure and emphasise the melody. Sometimes you do... and other times it gets lost...
