Actually I recorded cello then backed up by synth strings and added a church reverb effect. As you guys just told me, I think I should back off the reverb.

I'd recorded a cello piece. Since I have no experience about mixing cello, I think the cello sounds too heavy and too dark. I'd cut the bass a little bit, but still sounds too "ohm". I'm afraid if I cut it too much it won't sound like cello anymore. Anyone give me some idea or trick here? Please...

About the strings, you should try more slow strings to soften your sound. Strings play the melody or climax, you should mix them wih more violins (played by real player is a good idea, the tips are all around Youtube). Nice song anyway! ;)

My friends and audiences had recorded many of my live performance, but most of them are pretty noisy. I tried to cut and refine the sounds by boosting the middle in EQ but it doesn't work really well. Any tips? P/S: I've just worked on this one but the talking voice at the begining really...
