    Interface issues

I didn't even think about the USB port. I actually ended up returning the interface, and picked up a Tascam DP24 and I love it. It feels good to be away from the computer for once. Thanks guys.

    Interface issues

Thanks for the reply man! I'm using the unit that I believe to be a step down from the one you were looking at. This one: EIE 16-bit Electromusic Interface Expander The only driver download on the site for this unit (that I saw) said that they were only needed when mixing video and audio using...

    Interface issues

Hi guys! I am part of a two man acoustic group and we're trying to record an album. I was using a Cakewalk UA-25ex for personal solo recordings, but it has only two inputs so we obviously needed to go another route. So we bought an Akai Pro EIE interface with four inputs, the only downside is...

Ben: The way you record is exactly what I'm currently interested in, and I'm glad to hear that you are having good results! Is there a specific Korg you think I should check out? Cap: I know exactly what you mean about computers! Thanks for all the info, man. I'm really interested in the...

    Multi-Track

Thanks for the replies, LesPaul and Ken. The Neo was the unit that originally caught my eye, and I feel like if I did go that route I wouldn't need to upgrade for a long time.

mjb: The 800 looks like a really great unit! Thanks! Dougal: I've been using computers for my entire recording career, and I just feel like I'm ready for a change. Perhaps, not a change I'll stick with, but I think it's worth attempting. I guess right now I just have my heart set on a...

BassMan: That's awesome, man! I was having regular jam sessions with a few friends earlier this year, and I really wish I had had a device like that at the time. Jonesey: I will definitely check out the forum! Thanks a ton for all the info, man!

    Multi-Track

Thanks for the suggestions guys! Jonesey: I've been wanting to get away from computer based recording for a quite a while. I feel like it gives me option anxiety! I want to be able to record without dealing with all the extra crap that computers offer so I feel like an all in one may be the...

    Multi-Track

Hey everyone. I want to record a mostly acoustic record on a portable multitrack recorder, but I honestly don't know anything about them. In the 5 or so years that I have been recording I've only used computer based software. So I'm looking for some advice on some decent mult-track recorders...

The drivers I was using were messing up. I reinstalled them and everything is running smoothly now!

    Choppy sound.

Hey! I'm using Sonar 8 on a windows 7 computer. When I run a file's sound through my interface (cakewalk UA-25EX) it comes through really choppy. I've had this setup for about two years, and have never encountered this problem. I recorded a track around two weeks ago and had absolutely no issues...

    Sonar 8.5 Homestudio Problem

The problem is resolved! The issue came about because I had an incredible amount of junk in my Picture Cache. I cleared it and now the system runs perfectly.

    Sonar 8.5 Homestudio Problem

I've only got one HD, but I only have the music studio on it (aside from all the junk that comes with a computer). Should I look into getting another HD?
