Hi there,
Just bought Logic 7 Pro for my Mac G5 (OSX 10.4 Tiger) and now I'm wondering what soundcard will cover my needs in recording.
I do not necessarily need to record several tracks simulteneously (though I like to have the possibility). Here's what I plan to record: guitar, bass and...
Hello,
I recently bought a Mac G5 for computer recording (with Logic). All works fine for me, but just one ordinary question: my mouse.
It seems it doesn't work for me if I want to delete software, in this case my installed sound card Fast Track Pro (I wanna re-install it).
Do I need a mouse...
Hey!
I'm used to have a Delta 1010-LT Soundcard in my Windows-pc. What if i change to a Mac G5? How can it be done to combine those?
Thanks in advance...
Maybe I'm in the wrong forum here, but I have one question on my EXS-24 sampler.
I do not have a clue how to get my dvd-drum sounds into my EXS-24 sampler (Logic).
After having put my dvd in, I'd say choose (in the EXS-24 software sampler) OPTIONS, but then what???
Thanks in advance..

After having heard the Mackie HR824-speakers, I am planning to take my homerecording a little bit more seriously.
I was also planning to buy this mixer: http://www.soundcraft.com/product_sheet.asp?product_id=121
I do use a pc, have Logic, and use this soundcard...
and make music yourself -at home- too?
Mostly my interest in recording ended me up in this particular situation.
Point is, I think I really made some pretty good home recordings. But... they're apart from the band I'm being in; they do not fit in the format of the band's songs.
I have a...
I wonder what the big difference is between:
1. A signal that is recorded mono, which you can hear in your left speaker.
2. A signal that is recorded stereo, and panned to the left, so you can hear it in your left speaker.
Hope you can help me...

But... I have ONE question. I just do not understand what is meant by this phrase (you can read it under the head Cutting the notch.

Hello,
I hope you can help me with this:
I experienced a tiny little problem with a recorded bass guitar.
In the mix, just for a second or two, it isn't audible enough.
It didn't help to get it louder, so I turned the guitars down . That is one rythm guitar, one lead. Both are doubled...
Hello,
Last night I listened to the debut album of Black Rebel Motocycle Club.
I love this album, for it's songs, also for its' sound.
What I really love is the way the bass guitar blends with the rest.
Can anyone tell me:
1. what's the secret of this bass guitar sound (what frequency...
I don't see the need to buy a mixer (not that I wouldn't want one). Isn't it so that a mic preamp already has preamps, a mic/line level switch and phantom power (most of the time anyway)?
What is the advantage of having a mixer or having a mixer AND a preamp?
I use Logic's last version for...
Hello......
Is it common for a 4-string bass guitar to put (from low to high) a
B-string
E-string
A-string
D-string on it ????? Or is it better NOT to do this? If so: why not?
I'm intending to make use of the B-string, for I don't use the D-string much anyway.

Hello,
As a relatively new home recording man, I get the idea that a control room should be seperated from the studio itself.
Can't the recording be done in the same place? (if not, why not?)
Or is that the idea of what's called 'band in a box'?
