Thanks for the comments. I have succeeded. Here's what I did: * I put a 'male' cable (2x) on the output of my soundcard * connect those to stereo L/R on my Soundcraft Compact 4 * then with my jack/jack-cables I connected Monitor L/R on the Soundcraft to the inputs of my Mackies. It's great...

You're right. I already have been honest about it. There were some pretty quiet moment when I told them. But they respect my plans, happily. And yes, I don't think they would mind playing some on recordings.
