I am importing an mp3 file to Cubase. When I go to play it back its sounds about 20% faster than the original.. Whats up?!?!? Thanks

I record trk 1 at 0db. Play it back it sounds good. Then I go to record trk 2 while monitoring trk 1 and trk 1 volume is way low. All my levels are at 0db, but I can barley hear trk 1 when recording trk 2. Any ideas???? Thanks
