I have two sets of monitors and I know I can zero in on the right mix a/b-ing between both sets but the hook ups and re-hookups are very tedious. Does this thing exist? Again it needs to switch both the signal and the power from the amp. Thanks

yo ucan record all day without monitors.. jsut make sure you know your gear well and just watch the meters etc. I would plug in headphones and go with it. you cant mix though

if you are only using it to quiet the gain/feedback of your guitar then put in in the fx loop of your head and not in the recording chain. Dont use the 3630 compression features if you can help it. It is pretty shitty.. (I own one too. I also fell prey to that piece of junk at one time) Another...

Analytical Man I record heavy bands exclusively and alot All of the reccomendations you have been given here sound good but I would just point out that tuning is a factor. You mentioned a B tuning. Dimebag tunes higher and that would make a real difference. I asked him about his guitar tracks...

one other idea.. are the guitar mikes either within four inches of each other or at least 4-6 feet apart? If not you maybe gettign phasing from those mikes
