Is their a device that allows switching power and signal among monitors?

I have two sets of monitors and I know I can zero in on the right mix a/b-ing between both sets but the hook ups and re-hookups are very tedious. Does this thing exist? Again it needs to switch both the signal and the power from the amp. Thanks

Well here's one, which also has volume controls you may need to do a proper A/B (i.e. so you just don't say the louder speaker sounds better):

If you click on the link at the bottom of that page there are more. (My link goes directly to the product page, bypassing the site's frames, which kind of screws up the formatting ... you might want to just come in through "Markertek.com" and search).

There are probably ones that are cheaper, but maybe not as good, elsewhere. Radio Shack, I would expect, for one.

Sweetwater sells a thing called the "switch witch", too. I think they have some company make them for them. Can't remember the cost, but it wasn't exorbitant.

Here' my review of the unit I use- the Furman SRM-80 signal router/monitor. Here's also a link to their web site for the unit.

It does a lot more than just monitor switching, and it dramatically simplifies dubbing work tapes and making other dubs of material. I use it all the time, and it cuts down the amount of repatching I have to do in normal operation by *easily* 50%.... It handles 3 sets of speakers, both powered and passive, and has level controls so that you can match levels properly.

It's a little pricey- around $300. But for all it does, it is a hell of a deal. Worth at least looking at, anyway. There's never a session during which I don't reach for mine at least 10 times!
