I'll stick my nose in here :) Track at once recording adds a two second gap, due to the laser being shut off and turned back on between tracks. In disc at once recording, there is still that 2 second gap (a pregap is required before each track according to specs), but the laser isn't turned...

The frequency response depends on the sampling rate of the soundcard... if it can sample at 48khz (most soundcards), then the highest frequency it can record is 24 khz. If it's 96khz, then it can record up to 48khz... your right, the theoretical (and generally the real world) limits of the...

Sunking: I'm not quite sure if this is your problem, but don't even look at all the stuff you don't need yet. Follow the tutorial in the manual, and record tracks (i.e. set the source to your soundcard, hit the little [R] button to arm the track, push the record button, and sing or play...

ahem... buy an upgrade from v6. Seriously, I probably wouldn't've (nice grammar, eh?) recommended this for v7 or v8, but pa9 is such an improvement over the older versions... and plus, you'll be able to upgrade to 10 (if and when it comes out) for 80$, as opposed to the 4 or 5 hundred it...

How much ram do you have in your comp? The location of the plugins shouldn't make much if any difference, so long as you don't move them to a different directory once you've installed them.

Does it do the same thing if you play a cd or a tape in the stereo? Maybe some shielding broke loose in the monitor or in the speakers. Try unhooking the speakers from the stereo and see if it still does it. Hope this is useful

Run the plugin as an offline command. Preview the effect first so that it can figure out what the offset is, then apply it... it should work (works for me)
