v-drums I've seen a couple of live Crimson shows and his e-drum setup sounded pretty good....a few pads, acoustics with triggers, a Roland td-10 module, and a Roland Handsonic....probably a lot more but thats all I could see.. the only way to get V-drums to work in any type of situation is...

I once set up a single 58 in my drum room, played around with the placement, hit record and recorded a track... I later added software compression and FX with some cool Waves Renn plugins....pretty interesting results...

I'm confused...isn't it worth it to spend about $30 or so more for something in order to get better quality..... That being said, I have used the Sennheiser e603 knockoff, that Radio Shack 33-3302 (that some claim is the same exact mic ......) I paid $15 dollars for it when they cleared them...

I'm using the Mk012's as my oH's and it sounds pretty good except the toms sound a little thin.....my mic placement is similiar to the 3 mic technique documented here by recorderman...... I'd be interested to know what type of mic placement you've used with the Mk319's to get the better total...

kind of limited with inputs right now..... I only have 4 inputs to work with for the time being so I'm trying to make this work with 4 mics..... good suggestion, though.....
