    US voltage is usually refered to as 110 or 120 but in reality 117 is the average voltage for most US homes.

    So wouldn't this phenomenon require a sample rate about ten times higher in order to truly acurately reproduce the high frequency information up to 20khz? because you could get this same result with a signal well below the sample rate, at any frequency really.

    Well I guess the real question is can digital audio capture high frequency signals that are out of phase less than 180 degrees with the sample clock? I understand that you get a sample 44100 times a second but what if you have a signal that peaks between those samples would it just be recorded...

    Ok here's my question. Say you have two seperate tones at 20khz but they are 90 degrees out of phase with each other wouldn't you need a 40khz sampling rate to capture both of them? and wouldn't both of them be audible (assuming you could hear 20khz) and likewise if you had 5 such tones...
