How do you record live gigs? I used a splitter snake, fire wire mixer got all drums separate, guitars, bass keyboards and vocals plus a line for the main mix. What is your recommendation and style?
Any one else have a problem of quantization at these tempos especially for dance music? I do African music and at these tempos, quantizing just does not work for me be it 1/16th note to 1/64th note.
wow I mist the forum. The set up i have is similar to yours. I have a 24 channel phonic fire wire mixer, Pro Tools HD. built my computer as well to my specs. I believe great records can be made ITB in this era of great native plugins, and the right knowledge. IMO cheers!!!
