Hallo guys! how many of you master on the same monitors you recorded and mixed your projects on?
 
Traditionally you'd have someone different do the mastering.

My guess is that the majority who can't afford that aren't going to be able to afford a seperate set of monitors either.

Also, given the reputed flatness of monitors they should both sound as accurate as each other. If they sound different, then one of them is less accurate than the other. In which case you'd only really want to be using the more accurate pair in both cases.
