    Push And Shove (Demo)

Hey Y'all, tis been a while since I've been on the site. I'll try to listen to some tracks after work as I like to not rush the experience. In the meantime, I recorded this demo about a year ago and would love your honest thoughts. Looking for general impressions and suggestions. Push And...

Lo-fi Demo Song (thoughts on overall song composition)

Interested in your thoughts in regards to the overall song composition. Any ideas as to what I should possibly add? So far, from this test recording, I think I need to bring the guitar forward some and add some bass. No Direction (Demo from "Silly Spaceman") by Aaron Chap | Free Listening on...

Rage For The Machine - Classic Rock Style song.

Sounds pretty tight, mate. Overall, a nice mix. I like the guitar sound. As others suggested, you could maybe add some meat in the lower end.

Sometimes I Keep On Hoping- Guitar Composition

Just a little guitar tune I recorded. Do you think there's anything I should add or change? I like the deeper undertones I achieved by just pitch shifting the extra guitar track. Some parts remind me of frogs croaking :P which is cool. My concern is whether the track gets a little monotonous...

    SpaceGirl-DemoRecording

Went for something a little cheeky and fun. Love to hear all your thoughts and suggestions. Also, open to collabs if someone wants to lend a hand(sorry to people who have offered help in the past. Just read those messages now). Some drums would be cool. I've been trying to create some drum...

don't know which genre you'd call this

I'd definitely call this genre softcore **** because that gave me an eargasm. .... I'm so sorry

    Warning

Oh, the warbly goodness. Get me some of that bassy kick and my pickle will have been properly thoroughly tickled. For real, cool mix. Like the retro vibes. Favorite is the 1-minute mark; feels like I'm being pulled underwater. Maybe a little too chaotic in some areas but that's just taste. I say...

Broken Love (Another Messy Demo For Yeah)

The recording is pretty dang cooked (some areas on purpose to mask greater imperfections lol) and there's bad fret buzz. Nonetheless, I think the recording has some character. I'm wondering if I should add some chord changes to keep things fresh? Also, how do you all feel about the vocals? Some...

    A song about songwriting

Interesting. I like the guitar addition. Would be nice to hear more of that. I agree with RFR about letting the song build up. I think some drum variation during the chorus sections would help.

    Help me with my mixes

I don't know much about mixing either. I dig the guitar tone. Clean playing, mate. I agree that the guitar could be a little brighter and would be cool to see you play with some delay.

    Bad Business (Test Recording)

Thanks for the input everyone. Seems the consensus is to get real personal and intimate with that mic, back off on the reverb (definitely), eliminate any phasing issues with the voice (push voice forward), and clean up any rumbles. I'm realizing now that the voice does tend to jump around too...

    Bad Business (Test Recording)

Watched the movie "Heat" (great film) for the third time the other night and felt inspired to write this short tune. You guys offered me great advice last time which helped to clean up some of my tracks (hope to release those soon). I'm going to try to contribute more here. Anyhoo, here's the...

Thought On Song Mix- Tiny Tin Can Demo Song

What do mean exactly by too much energy? Too much chaos or too many sounds competing with each other on the lower frequencies? I'll try to clean the vocals. I'll try to reduce the low end to see if that helps .

Thought On Song Mix- Tiny Tin Can Demo Song

Thanks, mate. I definitely need to add some clarity to the vocals then because you're the second person to mention that. I'll spend some time fixing the vocals and then update this thread to see what you all think.

Thought On Song Mix- Tiny Tin Can Demo Song

Tried something different with this mix. Tried to isolate the guitar in audition and give it some garage fuzz. I then had the fun idea of using a wine bottle to create some harrowing tinny guitar sweeps for some ambient noise and background riffs. I like the dark western feel this achieves...
