Update: I submitted a request for more information through the D'Addario website. They got back to me quickly and offered to help me try to make a claim, but I'd thrown out the damaged packs, so couldn't really make one. Instead I just asked for more information on the packs. This is what I got...
I just have to accept the situation and hope for the best. Short of paying someone with the skill to get in and remove every last bit, that's all I can do. The guitar has mostly sentimental value being the first guitar I'd ever bought on my own, but it probably wouldn't make financial sense to...
Well, I spent two hours at it. I started-out using a spoon and it turned-out the consistency was much more like honey than I thought. There was nothing to vaccuum and I was sort of horrified to see a big blob of the stuff lying on the back panel, which I'm fairly certain happened since I brought...
Like I said, the consistency is that of honey once it's crystalized in a jar, if you've ever seen that. It's not hard but it's not runny or a gel like it was in the original package. I think I'll have to scrape it with a plastic/wooden tool and then somehow make sure I get what I scrape-up out...
Hmmm... I do have some electronics attachments for my vaccuum cleaner, but not sure about that stuff getting into my vaccuum cleaner. Thanks for the suggestion.
Long story short, I had my 12-String Seagull guitar in my storage place and I left a D'Addario Humidipak system in the guitar. When I pulled it out after a couple of years, the packs leaked into the body of the guitar. The case was at an angle so all the goo leaked the bottom right corner and I...
During the period from early 1998 to early 2001, I used my father's computer set-up to capture mixes of my songs and burn CDs. In a lot of these captures and burns, there are two tones that ring throughout. Recently, while rebuilding a website for all of my music and videos, I decided to...
Thanks for the in-depth research and replies. There was so much more going-on than I'd even imagined. I'm glad I asked and avoided screwing-up the amp.
Is ECC83 another user? I can say for certain that my running a cord from the EFX Send didn't stop the speaker in the amp from working, which is why I had to disconnect it. It doesn't sound like the treble/mid/bass are having an influence on the sound, but the reverb is definitely there.
Thanks for the response. You're saying I should basically remove some of the tubes? There's a schematic on Page 6 of a PDF manual at https://peavey.com/manuals/80301964.pdf
In the back of the amp, I see four bigger tubes labeled "6BQ5/EL84" and three smaller ones "12AX7". From the specs in the...
I live in an apartment now and don't want to disturb my neighbors too much. I have an older PODxt but rather than use its cabinet modeling I thought to feed its input from my Peavey Classic 30 via its EFX Send output. I've disconnected the speaker from the amp, so the amp is essentially a head...
Hi, my name is Robbie and I'm new to this site. I posted a similar thread in the Tascam forum, but I think it's probably better placed in here.
I have a Tascam Porta07 cassette 4-track. It only has the ability to output a stereo signal, so there's no way for me to archive my old recordings to...
Hey, my name's Robbie and I'm brand new to this forum. I bought my first Tascam Porta07 back in the summer of 1994 (and a second from eBay in the summer of 2005). I probably have 50-75 cassettes full of recordings.
I just bought a new Tascam DP-24 and it got me to thinking about archiving...
