I've just completed the latest track from my upcoming album. It's the title track (Full Circle). This has a Pink Floyd influence but I have tried to make it my own as well.

The songwriting was a team effort between myself and my good friend Alan Petersen. Alan and I played in a band together when we were still at school (many years ago).

He now lives in London, we reconnected and he expressed an interest in getting involved with the writing and some of the playing on this album. Hence the title.

The track also features my other good friend, Larry Rose on drums.

It’s okay - but you have like Great Stratocaster and Les Paul Playing - seriously who’s on Keyboards? (Edit : Nevermind I see You played them) -Larry Rose is pretty accurate when it comes to drums - only suggestion is he could of hit the snare a little harder - not that it would make any difference - well to me a little.

A very good creation, nicely played.
My only criticism - Larry could do with a bit more hair.

Umm... Ok

Steller Performance and video ! You always come up with such awesome melodys. 2 thumbs up to everyone envolved in this. ms

I like that - and will cheerfully keep an ear out for more. Oddly, I didn't pick up Pink Floyd, but something I have heard tugs at my brain. That's good I think.

Thanks for the comments Rob! I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on what tugs you regarding influences.

Cheers!

Good stuff.
And the Floyd runs deep . Or at least the Dave. It’s very obvious to me he’s been a big influence on your playing. :D

Curious…. You do anything with vocals?

Thanks! Yes, a big influence. Another player who has made an impression has been Ian Bairnson.

I used to have a melodic rock project (with vocals) called Off the Edge. We released 5 official albums with the sixth being unfinished as the band split and some guys moved to other towns etc. The catalogue is on Bandcamp including the sixth unfinished ep.

This was the final completed album.

We also shot a video of the studio recording of one of the songs back in the day (2008) from the unfinished sixth album.

You had a good thing going with your band.

From what I’ve seen and heard so far I’m a fan.

Edit: Did more listening. Great stuff!

Thanks RFR! It was good while it lasted.

Nice one! Great tones and tasteful playing. Very interesting chord progression. The first time the Cm to Ab came around, I thought it was a key change. 😉 But then I realized it was just all part of the same progression. I can definitely hear the PF influence, but it's far from derivative. Nice work all around! Thanks for sharing. 🙂
