What's goin' on with everybody

Well, my wife died from cancer and I had a massive heart attack and now I'm loosing feeling all over. Now life just doesn't have a lot of meaning for me. Besides that everything is just fine
Hang on a minute. I have a wife that you may be interested in. That would fix both of our problems. She gorgeous and great in bed. And she's about to have a lot of money. Do you see where I'm going with this?

Jokes aside, sorry man. That sucks.

I'm starting to get into the spirit of the season. The lights are on the bushes outside, and today I made two batches of cookies, and carried the tree up from the basement. Tomorrow, I'll pull out a couple dozen ornaments, plug in the lights (already on the tree, along with a garland), and put it in front of the window!

I've even bought a few presents!

HO! HO! HO!

I just received 2 Christmas gifts: A pair of Sennheiser wireless headphones and an OBD II Diagnostic tool so I can (hopefully) see what that dang SES is trying to tell me. I'm guessing it's my TPS as my throttle is acting up. I've got the special socket bit for removing the TPS so I'm ready.

Happy New Year everyone ! :D

I'm having a rare beers in the afternoon...well a bit later than the afternoon. Looking for suggestions before the wife's day is done and she comes downstairs.

I want to do a few youtubes I haven't seen. For some reason i'm thinking Warren Zevon, who frankly I know little. Anybody have a (pretty quick) suggestion? Just trying to avoid common go to vids in favor of something a bit off the path. Live performance preferred. Throw me a bone!

Nothing? C'mon, work with me here, times a ticking. Hey, that's a song, yeah? Ahh, Styx. Not in the mood. Nick Cage, maybe? Again, know very little other than Stagger Lee.

Something maybe a bit moody, but not to rambunctious?

Bread? She's downstairs now. I'm on laptop here, looking to view on the teevee. Bread is a bit saccharine. But. it. just. might. work.

Thanks brother.

Got in the last golf game for the week. Waiting for the snow to start tomorrow. They're talking temps around 10F in a couple of days and 2-3 inches of snow locally.

Hey Spantini, thanks for posting the David Gates video. Somewhere in the basement I have his first solo album. Used to play that when I did late night campus radio in college. Plus, having a couple of Bread songs in the setlist was mandatory for the slow dances.

Yeah, Bread were major relationship songs in those days. High school sweethearts getting into that stuff on our AM car radios.

College radio was the leading edge in those days of AM commercialism. Album music.

:ROFLMAO: Yeah, we didn't play the Pusher at our dances. We would have been thrown out of the place. Teen clubs at St Stephens, Holy Family, St Helens, St Matthias, Our Mother of Sorrows.....(do we sense a pattern here?)

We probably could have played it at the USO dances at the YWCA downtown, and gotten a big response from the Ft Knox soldiers, tho! At least until the lady that ran the dances heard us! 😲

:ROFLMAO: Definitely!

We only played our teen dances at public schools. Though we did some baptist church gigs with Chicago, BS&T and Motown tunes. No Pusher for us either :p

Thank you spantini for posting that David Gates, I really appreciate it.

I sampled through with the wife. She dug some of it....and commented, "that's oooold". Yeah, "I'm old", I says. I was hoping/looking for one that is not in that concert performance.

Some 40 years minus 1 years ago...those mathematics seem weird and a bit hard to wrap one's head around, ...there was a really sweet good hearted guy I used to jam with on occasion. Mostly parties and a porch stoops here and there, acoustics. You might say his signature song was Bread's Guitar Man. Minus(more math!) the wah wah I would provide accompaniment. A really good hearted guy with a good voice. Took me way back, and a few beers in it might have gotten a little misty in here.

I appreciate the suggestion.
