Good playing as always. Vocal level seems inconsistent in relation to the rest of the arrangement. First verse in particular, the vocal struggles to be heard over the guitars. The part that follows less so, then it happens again. Overall, I found myself waiting for a vocal hook and not hearing one.

hey robus,
thanks for listening...

you know, i hear this comment a lot, about the vocals...

i can hear them fine.

seems like there are a few fellows around here, that just like really loud vox,
but most of the time i hear other mixes as having the vox too loud.
unnecessarily loud, like the mixer was interpreting a singer-songwriter style mix, over a full band type mix...
it is a proper vox level for that kind of tune and arrangement, but NOT for a pop tune or radio-friendly style mix.

as far as hooks go,
people usually find the hooks, if something sticks in the head. :D

or it's such an obvious hook, it was obviously written that way, which seems just formulaic to me.
which is not what i do.

This is (to me) prog rock - as it progressed I found "similarities" in the arrangements of guys like "Yes". Lots of complex but musical changes and structural variety in the song which made it especially interesting.

I'm not surprised though, as you've been writing and performing great songs since I joined 11 years back.

There's four or five "hooks" if one needs to break it down, the dual guitars, here/there, following light and so on. Since they are repeated then I guess they also qualify as choruses if that's what a listener is looking for.

The vocal level is your choice - I can discern every word you're singing, so intelligibilty is not an issue for me. The mix for me has no issues...

Excellent!

:D:D:D:D
